Massachusetts-Licensed Special Educator • 12+ Years of Classroom Experience • Whole-Child, Strategic Advocacy

Meet Kristen Flannery, M.Ed.

Founder & Lead Educational Advocate/Consultant

Experience Inside Schools. Advocacy Centered on Children.

Kristen Flannery is a Massachusetts-licensed special educator with more than 12 years of classroom experience across PreK–12. During her time in public schools, she saw firsthand how difficult it can be for families to interpret complex educational information, raise meaningful concerns, and determine whether a child’s services and programming are truly addressing their needs.

She also recognized a common gap: what is written in an IEP does not always translate into appropriate instruction, effective support, or meaningful progress in the classroom. Kristen founded L&F Educational Associates, LLC to help families understand that gap, establish clear priorities, and approach important educational decisions with informed, strategic advocacy.

Today, Kristen supports families through IEP and record reviews, evaluation analysis, meeting preparation and representation, program and placement concerns, and complex dispute-related matters. She also partners with schools, districts, and organizations through consultation, professional development, and systems-improvement initiatives.

Kristen’s approach combines careful analysis, real-world school experience, and a whole-child, trauma-informed perspective. She believes families should feel heard, informed, and prepared—and that effective educational planning must remain centered on each student’s individual needs, access, and meaningful progress.

Educational Advocacy for Families

You know your child. We help you turn your concerns into an informed advocacy strategy.

When your child is struggling, an IEP meeting can feel overwhelming—especially when evaluations are difficult to interpret, progress remains unclear, or the school’s proposed services do not appear to match your child’s needs.

L&F Educational Associates provides individualized, student-centered advocacy led by experienced, Massachusetts-licensed educators. We help families understand the information in front of them, identify meaningful concerns, and approach important educational decisions with greater clarity, preparation, and confidence.

We can support your family with:

  • IEP and educational record reviews

  • Evaluation interpretation and gap analysis

  • Meeting preparation and representation

  • Eligibility, services, accommodations, and placement concerns

  • School refusal, safety, regression, and access-to-education concerns

  • Written parent concerns, IEP responses, and district communications

  • Independent program observations and advocacy reviews

  • Mediation, state complaint, and dispute-strategy preparation

You do not have to walk into the next meeting unsure of what to ask or how to respond. We will help you understand your options, establish clear priorities, and advocate for a plan grounded in your child’s individual needs.
